I salute you for your attempts to be an actual parent...I get those on occasion myself...one parent went so far as to tell me once "We thought we were doing our kid a favor by giving him everything and that was clearly the biggest mistake of our life." I have a million scary teacher stories from people I know...one woman (not where I teach) retired because the administration kept getting on her for being 'too tough'...her answer was "I'm trying to get these kids ready for college"...their answer was "Let them worry about it when they get there."
I love your style! And obviously totally agree with the strip. When I used to teach Middle School Art, I had a kid who sat there and did NOTHING the whole quarter and the Principal made me change his grade from an "F" to a "D" because "no one can fail art". Needless to say, I left that position at the end of the year (and went into advertising!)

Brilliant !
Very funny.
Ouch! My father & sister both teach & from their reports this is frighteningly accurate.
This is funny, because it's true! Nice work.
Brilliant! I'm the opposite - I've shocked quite a few teachers by expecting them to reinforce my futile attempts to teach my kids accountability!
