IF:SNAP

Sir Edmund Wimple had always enjoyed a quiet Saturday afternoon of teasing baby dragons...'had' being the key word...

ON A RELATED NOTE: Congrats to Kiley ($36,000), Jessica ($28,000), and Jared ($23,250) for their scholarship offers! Also congrats to former student Tyler for getting 3 illustrations selected for a show at Columbus College of Art and Design as a Freshman.

Great take on snap! twig or branch was my first thought too. btw - loved watching your rhino come to life in your relief piece. Took a class in that (and sculpture) in university, love the depth & detail you can achieve with raised images. I think that's what I struggle with in my drawings, paper is so flat =)

The expression on the characters faces in your pieces are super, I can feel the emotion of each. Great dragon and funny post.

I was fascinated by the rhino in relief as well, and the finished piece is gorgeous. Great stuff!

Oh, thanks for reminding me of Hangem' High! (Have a bad memory...) Haven't seen The Outlaw Josey Wales so will be off to the video store then.

*Gnome-icide = very funny!

Nice work Blankenship. Your IF submissions are always clever. He is going to need a bigger sword. :)
I was late on if this week because I actually had some paying work to do - for a change. To be honest - I like my blue stuff better than my cartoony work. But I have gotten more interested feedback and jobs from customers and art directors with the new stuff. Thanks for giving my blog soo many interesting comments.
